Global Sea Launch

Sea Launch is a collaborative company between USA, Russia, Norway and Ukraine.
USA (Boeing) provides system and payload integration.
Norway (Aker Kværner) provides the platform (former oil rig) and the commander ship.
Ukraine (Yuzhnoye in Dnepropetrovsk) provides the main two stages of Zenit Rocket.
Russia (Energia in Moscow) provides the 3rd stage of the rocket.
The launch is positioned on the equator to increaser the weight of the payload and the velocity of the rocket.
