"Speakers at the funeral alternated between English and Hebrew in order to allow his American family to understand. Levin's platoon commander, roommate Aaron and other friends spoke of his happiness, and his pride in serving as a Paratrooper. Michael Levin was visiting his parents in the US when fighting erupted in northern Israel. So he cut his vacation short, hopped on a plane and rejoined his Paratroop Brigade unit. St.-Sgt. Levin was one of three soldiers killed Tuesday in clashes with Hizbullah in the southern Lebanese village of Aita al-Shaab, along with St.-Sgt. Yonatan Einhorn and Lt. Ilan Gabbai."
