Matisyahu on the verge of stardoom

billboard.com: Matisyahu alignes with Epic Records: Hasidic reggae rapper Matisyahu will release his next album this fall via a partnership between Epic and Or Music, which last month released the album "Live at Stubb's." Having recently demoed two songs with noted producer Bill Laswell, Matisyahu and his band plan to hit the studio in the next two weeks to begin work on the follow-up to that set, which reached No. 2 on Billboard's Top Reggae Albums chart.
