Malachovka Shule outside of Moscow burned down

We interrupt the Yerushalmi nonsense to report that Malachovka Shule outside of Moscow was burned down last night. Later today I will post pictures of the Shule from my archive.

All picures taken on my trip in 1988:

A sign in Malachovka Shule reads: "Malachovka religious congregation requests all visitors to the cemetery to deposit charity only to the charity box" (perhaps to discourage begging).

My aunt, at the entrance to the Malachovka Shule. You can see that they placed wood planks on the facade. I assume to hide simple log construction (izba). You can see that they tried to give it an aged look, so they charred the wood around Mogen Dovids. This decorative motif was... "playing with fire".

Davening inside the Shule.

My uncle who now lives in Hanover, Germany leads the way with a shovel to clear the snow from our family stones in Malachovka cemetery.

My grate grandmother Gite Chana Gamerov buried at the Malachovka cemetery. She was a daughter of Rav Avrohom Leviyan. Married to Motl Gamerov (see post about Borya Gammerov, immortalized by Alexander Solzhenitsyn)

The Shule today:
